I have an issue with how fast the tow/haul mode downshifts on a downhill acceleration. I use my truck as a service vehicle, and I do a lot of city driving, as well as highway. City driving is my main concern, as Pittsburgh is a very hilly area.
What I would like to do, is see if theres a way in starscan to only allow the truck to downshift in tow/haul mode -only- if my foot is on the brake. If I let off the brake, downshifting stops. yes, i`m aware that I can stop a downshift by slightly pressing on the accel, but some hills I would -really- like to just exh brake all the way down.
Theres a few hills that really really jam on the truck, like over 3000rpm when the downshift occurs. drives me nuts.
Anyone have any ideas? Or a number for dodge engineering? (laff)
thanks
