Tow Haul vs Overdrive Off on 2006 48re

The 2006 automatic has both "tow haul" mode and "overdrive off" mode.

When in "overdrive off" mode are the tow haul settings still activated with the exception that overdrive does not engage or is the transmission in "normal" mode with no overdrive?

Good question, my take is that OD lockout just locks out OD with normal trans settings. The "tow haul" has a distinctly different feel, firm shifts, more revs before shifting, TC locked up going down hills... . if not... ... ... the truth is out there.

I can tell you that if you get the Jake from dealer, turn it on ... . it exactly emulates the "Tow/Haul mode".
