Tow mirror wont flip up

I bought a brand new set of power and heated tow mirrors from Dodge and after installing them the drivers one wont flip to the up position for towing. I have pushed on it and don't want to break it but it stuck Any ideas?

Can you provide a pic of the driver side mirror. Maybe the parts guy provided you with a non-towing mirror for the driver side. The pic will tell for sure.
Just a thought.

Sorry no picture handy but they are the normal towing mirror that Dodge makes. I have had 3 3rd gens so I am familiar with them.

Are you in a rust belt area and has it been down a long time? You might try spraying lots of WD-40 or PB Blaster two or three times ove a day or two. Just a spring hinge.

The mirrors are Brand New. I just took them lout of the box and bolted them on. I'll try some spray lube anyways.

First time can hard, just push it up it will work.

Just a couple weeks ago someone here had exactly the same problem.

Took the truck to Dodge and their mechanic couldn't flip the mirror hear up either. They replaced the mirror under warranty. New one works just like it should.

Great, so it was really malfunctioning from factory. Very rare case.

Ha, I only have mine out when actually towing... Nice that the new ride has memory functions so I have a memory set for each position. 1 button and mirrors go back to where they need to be..
