The application year says they only fit 98 to 02 and i can't believe they would have changed something from 96 to 98. I think i am going to chance it and buy a set.

I have a 97 and they fit perfect. I took them off because they weren't powered. I bought a set of towing mirrors from Geno's($380)I love them! I guy I work with has a 95 and we tried to put the Dodge mirrors on his and the hole pattern was different. All we had to do is droll one new hole and they bolted right on. If you go with the Dodge mirrors, I hope you get a good deal, cause we checked into them in Arizona at a dealer and they were $700. :(

as far as i know they fit '94-2002

i have them on my '94

direct bolt on

kit was about $170 wholesale back in 2001

I personally have put the manual flip-up tow mirrors on a '95 2500 and my current '96 3500 with no drama whatsoever. They just bolt on, no matter what the dealer tells you. In both cases the dealer told me that they wouldn't fit.

They will fit fine and it is a very simple bolt-on.

It Can be done!

I have the '03 and up mirrors on my truck. Stock look with power and heated mirrors. I didn't really like the look of the Geno's mirrors, but could not live with manual mirrors. There is a way to mount the head of an '03 mirror on the base of a '94 - '02 mirror base. Do a search for "mirror swap" and you will see.

hey JL

Did you mean you were able to mount the 03 nad up powered tow mirrors on an 01. 5 without doig the head swap thing. did the whole unit bolt on? If so can you post pictures.

thanks

Nope... I did the head swap thing... took about an hours worth of work and $500 worth of parts. I thought it over many times... and even looked at the other brand mirrors out there, but I preffered the stock look over what was available. You can do it cheaper if you look for deals on the parts. All you need is the base of the '02 and older mirror, and the head of the '03 and newer mirror. I'll post instructions if you guys want.

I found a set of '03 power/heated mirrors at a local truck dismantler for a pretty good price (even got a little trade-in value for my take offs) and bought a set of non-powere/heated mirrors from the dealer for my '01. I used the '01 bases and put the '03 power/heated heads... do a search, there are some good instructions in here someplace. It took a little hit and miss to get the wiring right because the '03 wire colors are different than the '01 harness, that information is in the instructions also. It took me about a half a day mainly because I don't have the greatest set of tools but they work perfect, look perfect and make setting up the mirrors for towing soooo easy.

I also have the tow mirrors on my 97. It was an easy swap. I had to open one of the holes up just a little bit. No big deal at all. I found mine on ebay for under 300 shipped. I thought it was a good deal, but power would be nice.
