tow mirrors

just bought me a irst gen and would love to throw some tow mirrors on it, i have seen them before but was wondering if you use second or third gen mirrors and what you might have to modify to mount them

It can be done. I've seen some threads on other forums about putting 3rd gen foldout mirrors on. Fab work is definitely involved.

i did some research, and found that third gen mirrors are used and you make a templet of the mirror to make a steel plate to weld to the corner of the vent window to mount the mirror and supposedly still be able to use your vent.

Yes, it can be done. I have been in the same boat for a long time. I have done much research and found a few workable options, the newer fold outs is one of them.



I would recommend a pair more suited to the body lines though. One of the multipoint chrome style would likely look better but... .
