Road on the way home was blocked by a Big Rig that had just delivered a load of bricks to a new home being constructed.

His right side rear dual tandems were off the ground about 6 inches, and front left was in the dirt across the road.

I backed up and got out with chain in hand.

He started to turn me down, saying he had turned down another offer from a little pickup truck. I told him there was nothing to lose from trying. He was afraid he would hurt my truck. I told him if I spun my tires on the pavement, I would stop.

I put it in 4WD-Low and pulled him out of his problem. Cummins never got much past idle! I had him in the road so quick that both he and I were amazed.

I was preparing for hurricane Ike and moving my trucks and expensive tools from my shop to higher ground when the school bus (seats removed) we were using to move the tools ran out of fuel :{ It was about 2am we had no fuel cans with us and no clue how close the nearest open station was. My GF was driving the 3500 with the 2500 in tow on a trailer while a friend and myself were piloting the bus. The bus was stranded in the middle of the 45N feeder so we saw no choice but to tow it! we hooked the bus to the back of the trailer the 2500 was being towed on and away we went! we found a Shell station within a mile and some how managed to make it in the driveway. We got tons of weird looks:)

After the hurricane I towed a 40ft cummins powered pusher motor coach out of a ditch. The owner ran about half of the back axle off a culvert and firmly planted the rear axle on their driveway:confused: In the midst of his wife screaming at him I suggested we just pull it off. I am pretty sure nobody there (including myself) thought the truck would do it. I was pretty excited to use all that power I spent so much money on:D I hooked on with a 35k strap. With a huge cloud of smoke I felt the coach start to move. We were all very amazed and we did no immediate damage to either vehicle.

I love these trucks:D

Edit: hey my 700th post :)

This thread is useless w/o pictures... ... :-laf

If the traffic had not been backed up and waiting, I would have taken pictures.

My Grandson was in a car with my wife waiting in line and saw the whole operation. He's 5 and was really impressed that my little truck would move the big rig!

what these things can do when you drop in to 4low is unreal. I pulled a rig out with my 99 i had and all it did was spin enough to clean the mud off the tire that i got from driving through the mud the truck was stuck in.

Cool story.

I pulled a Vovlo semi out of our loading docks one time. It was stuck down in there and couldn't get out with all the snow. Driver made a comment about my powerful truck and I just smiled, said thanks, and drove away!
