I am considering purchasing the 4" Superlift Rockrunner kit with Bilstien shocks and running 35x12. 5R17 Toyos on stock rims. My question is will i be able to tow a 5th wheel camper with this setup? Will there be enough clearance between the bed and camper and not be scraping the ground with the rear of the camper? My second choice would be to buy the Skyjacker 2. 5" kit but i would really like the 4" Superlift. Planning on buying a camper in the next year or so and don't want to be limited to a bumper pulled unit. Thanks in advance.

Generally speaking, you're going to have problems with bed rail clearance if the 5th wheel RV is set up to tow level. You'll likely be looking at relocating the axles below the springs as a minimum, and some 5th wheels will actually require a new suspension subframe to raise the 5th wheel high enough to sit level. Tall trucks and 5th wheels really don't mix well. :(

You may have to do as I did and as mentioned above.

I added a 6" subframe, did a spring over plus a new (thicker) spring pack

I have about a 2" lift in front, rased the back with air bags and have 35s. I tow a 34' Jayco 5th wheel with no problems. The nice thing about the Jayco eagle 5th wheel is they have adjustable anchor points for the springs, up to 2'' of lift, I have mine at 1. 5"

If you are gonna tow alot, I think I'd leave it stock height. Big tires kill your power, as well as move your RPM lower for a given speed. I put myself together a set of stock sized wheels/tires to tow with and it made a huge difference in controlling EGTs and holding speed on grades. I know my 1st gen has zero power comparitively, but it will show on your truck as well.

No problems with either one.

I ordered the trailer with 16 in. wheels and a 2 inch lift from the factory.

there is no problems because you ordered the solution ahead of time :D that trailer in stock form would tow like crap behind your 97.
