He doesn't have to watch out for the BEARS. Superdawg, have you ever seen the ICE RIVER that runs there in the park? It only last for a few days according to the literature thats published. Thats the only place it has been recorded, and a spectacular site.

Funny you should mention that. I have seen the frazil ice one spring. It is when the ice cone breaks loose below lower Yosemite falls. Like a river of slushie.

The ranger did mention a bear had woken up and was cruising around. I did not see him though.

The last night I was there, I switched out a propane tank. The full tank would only put out a little pressure. I could only run one appliance at a time. Barely ran the heater which was sort of necessary. I was jealous as hell of the guy in the Arctic Fox camper.

I also didn't check the water in my two six volt batteries and let them go pretty dry for too long. Batteries only lasted a day before needing a charge.

Upper Pines near Curry Village is the only campground open during the winter. 2-3 loops open, no reservations. 50-70% occupied. I came in through Oakhurst and ran cables from Wawona all the way in, 31 miles.

nice pic's
looks like a fun time of yr to be there to me
any bear up this time of yr is , a more dangerous bear, as they tend to be bears that didn't get enough food to make it thru winter, so there HUNGRY
and trying to get more fat build up

happen to know a LOT about bears, maybe more than ever needed
helped tag trap and move many over the yrs
and have them in my yard all the time it seems from MA till Nov or later some yrs
ONLY black bears here
but spent some time up in AK, where the BIG one's roam
bears are neat critters, there curiosity gets them "in to" trouble a lot, and there shear strength does even more damage at times then I think they mean!
they deserve a lot of elbow room and respect
and not so much fear of em!

Thanks. 6 months and 55 lbs. First long car trip, first camping trip. He loved the snow. Still a spaz but he has potential.

Great Looking Dog, but he really blends into that snow.

That snow looks very slippery, I prefer driving on it when it's colder.

Few things in life compare to getting a puppy and watching them grow up.
that is if your a dog person!
its just too bad they have such short lives
as its amazing how there passing's can humble you!

My Lab was my best traveling companion I ever had
crossed the USA several times with me
made for a lot of great memories

Thats the shot I was referring. I would really like to see it in person, But I store my rig when it's white outside.Great pictures.I have a few of Bridal Vail falls, I like for my desk top.
