Looking for a good deal on trailer axles

EZ Level 6 and towing?

What kind of weight are you guys with modified transmission (DTT, ATS, BD,Suncoast, etc) pulling with your truck? I have always heard that a manual is best and may be, but lets see what we are pulling?

Please no stumping for any particular trans company. Just brag about what you are doing with your truck!.

I pull about 8000 lbs with mine and it works great!

Stock: 7000 # trailer and jeep with probably 500 # of gear in the bed.

Suncoast: Add 3000 # camper to above.

So far so good.

25,000 lbs for me. I was doing this even before the modified transmission. Just had the modified transmission installed last monday. Now I just do it much easier. :D

When I had my '96, I towed around 6k with the stock transmission and then with a BD converter and valvebody. Then I added a Lance camper to that (4500 lbs more) for about 16-17k gross and the transmission lasted about 5k miles before it grenaded.

Then traded on a 6sp, which was fine for 45k miles until I got sick of shifting. Now I'm back to an auto again, and now my gross will be even higher. Same camper, but now add a 7000-8000# enclosed car trailer, so figure 18-20k. We'll see how well a stock 48RE holds up to it...

Thanks guys, keep it coming, I didnt realize we were pulling major loads like this! I wish I had added how many of you use exhaust brakes and what kind?? I'll start a new thread with that question.

17. 5k gross trailer so depending on the truck anywhere from 22 to 25 total the 92 it did not do real good the 96 pretty good modified transmission I did not notice a big differnece but I never did pull it down hard before or after mods. 03 :D
