Need a car transported from Fort Worth

Any Deals on Jordan Controller????

Need some info to settle an argument... .

Why is the auto to manual towing capacities approx 3000lbs different on a Dodge and Ford has approx 500lbs difference between auto and manual? Is the Ford auto that much better? I am referring to 2500 vs F250.

I have this guy making the plain statement he can tow 12500 with his F250 auto and i think he is referring to a manual with a gear similiar to our 4. 10.

Can one of you guys post the link to the page with the Dodge capacities? I saw it posted awhile back but I can't find it.

Thanx guys,

Johnny

PS. Does a sway bar help during winter driving conditions?

I suspect that the reason for the larger difference is the automatic is not as strong. Ask my brother in law, he just spent 3 grand on his auto in his 97 and he only has about 60k on it.

A sway bar or other antisway device is a must any time you are towing a heavy tag along trailer. In icy conditions you need to loosen it off some though. Sway bars are not needed on fifth wheel setups. Cheers.

[/QUOTE Yes a sway bar will work in winter, but if the road is slippery you will find it hard to turn. You can tighten a sway bar to much for dry roads],but who tows on ice covered roads?
