Gee, maybe I should have got a dually!

It's a TUFF life

I am new to the form, glad I found you guys. I purchased a 05, 3500 dually automatic with a fifth wheel and a auxiliary fuel tank and a 06 Kaufman three car trailer in Lexington NC. I will be picking them both up in mid May when the trailer is ready.

Driving a diesel truck and towing will be a new experience for me. I am excited and a little intimidated at the same time. I need help with getting the proper insurance in Maryland. I'm looking for a real truck insurance broker familiar with the towing industry.

Welcome! Can't help you on licensing issues but someone here will, this place is great.

I'm fairly new myself.

Well, if you read some of the other topics related to duallies, HAVE NO FEAR - they practically drive themselves and you will be safer in them than if you had stayed in bed! :-laf

Welcome to the forum. Great place to gather information to solve problems and enhance your ownership experience.

I can give alot of info on insurance and who to deal with when it comes to "For Hire" in Maryland. 3 Car Kaufman cannot be beat for the price. I would go with rear ramp location and deff 102" wide. Makes things hella easier when walking up to the top car when things are wet.

Who will you be hauling for? Local or over the road?

Have not got any contacts yet. My nephew talked me into doing this work. He lives in Atlanta. He wants me to work with him under his authority. Not sure if I want to go that way. He subscribes to Central dispatch a web site for getting work. I would appriciate any insight you could offer. I want to deliver both local and over the road if the price is right.
