Who is Towing heavy with 6. 7L & DPF delete and what improvement have you seen in mileage?

What do you consider towing heavy?

I am towing a 2010 318SAB Cougar with a 3/4 ton 2008 Dodge Mega Cab. I have scaled this combination on a Cat scale and my GCVW is 18,900 LBS. Before this I pulled a 2006 F270RKS Ameri-Camp 5er and this combination was 300LBS less in mass then what I am pulling now.

I have tracked my mileage from day one and have set them up on a Excel spread sheet for reference. I pulled the Ameri-Camp out west in 2008 with my stock (at the time ) Mega Cab to the Bald Lands. My fuel mileage, as stock was 9. 35 to 9. 83 MPG when pulling my 5er. After deleting the DPF and EGR along with installing a Smarty with the ME programming, my fuel mileage has improve by 26 to 28 %. My new fuel mileage numbers are 11. 77 to 12. 59 MPG. I pull my 2010 Cougar to Asheville, NC and then on to Nashville, TN this June and I am using this as my reference to compare the two sets of fuel numbers.

Another nice feature is I have extended my oil changes to 7500 Miles now with an oil sample taken at each oil change.
