I have the factory towing mirrors on my 04. 5 CTD. The drivers side is fine, but the range of vision on the passenger side is HORRIBLE! I find that for all driving I end up having to use the secondary fisheye mirror to check that side of the truck. The blind spot on the main mirror glass is so bad, I can't even see a car is there untill it is a car length or two behind me.

Can a get a replacement mirror that will work??

Thanks,

-Banning Cohen.

That is the same exact problem that I have with mine. I have looked for a replacement, but it involved replacing both sides so that they would match.

I'm not at all happy with mine either. It is real bad if someone is on your 1/4 panel at night in the rain. I have come close to hitting a couple of people. If someone comes up with a replacement I'm signing up.

I rarely use the regular glass inthe mirror anymore. I amlost always use the fish eye part. I adjust my mirrors so that the main part does now show any of the truck and use the fich eyes to see any traffic and it also helps me line up my truck while backing into a parking space.

I never tow so I may have differant requirements others

The fish eye part is there to help with the blind spot, use that on the passenger side and you will never have a problem, same on the driver side, I can see cars on either side in the fish eye that are not apparent in the regular mirror. I added stick on ones to my other car as well, I cannot drive without them now.

When I tow I do not usually bother flipping the mirrors up they work better for me down and I can see the entire trailer including the back on both sides.
