I just had the towing mirror replaced on the pass side. 36,000miles. I had the drivers side replaced at about 10,000 miles. At $300 a pop I sure hope I don't have to do any more. My warranty just ran out. Anyone else have trouble with their mirrors staying adjusted???????

There is no friction adjustment on these mirrors and nothing can be done once they loosen up. Good old plastic construction.

I got a great solution.........

What you need to do is instead of keeping replacing those unadjustable 01' mirrors, buy a set of power mirrors and change them out:D The instructions are on the TDR, and the mod is one of the best I ever done since I tow a lot. Power tow mirrors, now thats the ticket;) You can get them a lot of places, I got mine off of e-bay for $330, including the power mirror switch. If you tow, it is a great investment!!!! Sarge

I priced a replacement mirror the other day from dealer. $255

I talked to him more and I was told a pair was the same price.

They weren't the power version.

Loose mirror repair

Ceck the search forum. Type in" towing mirrors" and start reading. The fix is very informative and has great pictures to walk you through it. Someday I might figure out how to include the link but not today. Good luck.

I just ordered a set of new tow mirrors from my local dealer to replace my standard 01 mirrors and I paid 190 for the set. They're non adjustable and non heated, but I like the looks of them a lot better. By the way, I'll be selling my "Power vision" adjustable mirrors when I put my new ones on, if anyone's interested.

Sticks: Thanks for posting the fix for these poorly engineered mirrors. When one or both of mine go bad again I will give it a try.

If I ever have to replace them I will go back to the small regular mirrors . I still have my Micky Mouse ears for them and they never gave any trouble.

Yes thats true...

The price right from the dealers window is that,BUT,if you order the kit from Mopar Performance its about that price or less for both mirrors and all the hardware that comes in the install kit. Yes,I know your going to say, but, its the same company,go figure right... ... . Andy
