I have a 99 4X4 which I recently started towning a 5th wheel with and I have seen a set of slip on mirrors which sust slip over the existing mirrors and work veery well, however the owner said he could not remember where he purchaced then in the past , only that he got them off of the internet. They even look almost stock when they are fastened in place. Does anyone have an idea where?

I had a set of Cipa mirrors for the 99 I had, got them at Camping World I think. Some Wal Mart stores used to have them but haven't seen any lately. bg

The Cipa used to use a plastic j bolt and we had problems with them in cold winter months... any bump would snap the plastic and we finally called them for spares... .

Of course when the truck was gone so went the mirrors... .

I've not seen them either. .

Thanks, Don't know why I didn't think to look in Geno's as I have the catalog and by there often!!

I used the clip ons for years, they are not very effective, too small. For about $225 you can replace your mirrors with a set of flip up Mopar Tow Mirrors. I made the switch, IMO, money well spent.

As rrl989 said, you'll be surprised at how cheap a mirror kit is from Dodge for an oem product. Especially if you don't currently have power and heated mirrors. If you do, you can get the power/heated ones and they will just plug in without any problems. The factory mirrors are awsome, they don't vibrate and when flipped up, you get a great view as you can set them so that you can see the road behind you and also see your trailer tires at the same setting.

I second that. I used the slide on ones on my '95 + then got the flip -up mirrors from mopar for less. easy install + worked way better.

I think I forgot about those when I sold that truck + gave all the extra stuff I had to the new owner. Anyone want them? Just come get them or pay shipping. Or I'll be traveling in July up to Yellowstone, to MT, + home down the west coast ;-)
