:) I bought a pair of slip ons that entends the view out past the trailer. It has a small hook with threads on it to tighten to the existing mirror. Ther are available at any RV supply house. They work so so. Tim

I have the same ones as Tim. Vibration was a problem so after I got them set in the correct position, dabbed some silicone at 5 or 6 locations around the edge of the mirrors to hold the settings in place. Then I marked left and right on the inside of the housings to be able to get back on the same way. I don't tow all the time so these work OK for me. If I towed all the time, would want something better.

I've been thinking about this too. Has anyone found a mirror extension custom fit for the stock mirrors? I know you can get them for the Chevys and probably the 2nd gen Dodges, but I have not yet seen them offered for us.

I hate to take off the stock power mirrors. For now, they're OK with the open gooseneck trailer, but when I put the big truck camper on the trailer this spring, I'll need larger mirrors to see anything back there. :D

I tried the slipons one time last week when pulling our new (to us) 5th wheel home. Couldn't see anything out of them as they gave no view at all down the passenger's side of the RV. Fortunately my wife was driving behind, making all the necessary signals.

Looking for something better... . thanks.

Gary

Had a set of PowerVision mirrors installed 2 months ago... ... . Should have done it 2 years ago. I fought and fiddled with clip ons for all this time. PowerVisions are not a luxury, they are a necessity! I drove my Dad's 97 the other day with the big swing out stainless mirrors... ... ... what a pain! I had to crawl over the front seat and reach out the right window to adjust the right mirror. That should have gone out with fender skirts.

Gerry, do they replace the stock mirror or attach to them?

Mopars, do you have a picture of the setup you're describing?
