Hello all.
I have a 1993 dodge d 350 dually ,cummins 5.9 intercooled turbo , automatic .
I will be towing a 28 ft fifth wheel around usa.
I am looking for the best mods to do to be able to accomplish this.
Thanks for your input.

welcome to TDR.

Expect some serious answers but I’ll start the silly ones.
Fill it with diesel.
Check engine oil.
Good tires and psi.

That should cover the basics.

Lots of answers will depend on condition etc of truck Budget and gotta have its.

First thing, and i'd argue most important, boost gauge and pyro meter, and since you have a auto a trans temp gauge would probably be a good idea, if you feel you need/want more power you can do those a little later but you dont want to melt or burn anything up.

Remember, you've got an old truck-if you want to go up grades at a high rate you need one of the newer, high horse power trucks. Take care of it and it will get you anywhere. The weakest link is probably your automatic transmission but I don't know enough about them to help you out in that area.

If you want to get where ever economically, without the manufacturer sending your truck a message that you have 100 miles to get to a dealership or the engine will go into limp mode just because they think they need to reprogram the ECM you got the right rig!
