Towing with Super Street turbo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Payload question

I had the passenger side directional/stop lamp circuit stop working on my 2006 3500 towing package only. Truck signals/stop lamps work ok. Checked fuse in engine compartment all ok. Anyone have any idea where else I can look, or am I stuck going back to ******* ( i mean dealer)

If your truck lights work on the passenger side, but do not work with your trailer tow package, I can think of a couple of things to check.

Check to make sure the 7 pin trailer plug in your bumper is inserted and locked in by the red lock. If it's not your plug and your are getting 12v to that plug pin, then it may be your trailer's 7 pin receptacle plug that is not making the connection. You could have a broken wire or the plugs are not mating together properly.

Good luck

Remember that the trailer plug is fused apart from the truck... .

And the left side brake and turn is fused seperately from the right side... . I just had mine open for another reason and noted this for later use... .

You have a left stop turn fuse,

right stop turn fuse

tail light fuse

battery 12 + fuse

electric brake fuse

I don't know about the reverse or back up lights...

no fuse for ground

I had the same problem on my 06 2500, while towing. The trailer plug at thre rear is not fused seperately. It is all part ot the integrated module under the hood. The dealer replaced mine under warranty with no hassle.

I have since installed a drawtite adapter between the truck wiring and the rear plug. I put 10 amp fuses in the right and left turn/brake wires. So far I've had no problems.
