I just got my truck and will use it 95% for towing a 15k lb, 30ft 5th wheel. I'd like more power climbing the mountains, but also want fuel economy in the flat lands. What power chip should I get?

Give us some info about your truck. What year? HO or SO? 5-speed, 6-speed or automatic? What axle ratio, 3. 54 or 4. 10? If you fill out your signature block, this will be displayed every time you post.

Learn to use the search funtion it helps a lot there is loads of info here. Also go to the "first time cummins diesel owners" forum losts of usefull info there also there is a FAQ section at top of most forums that will address a lot of questions.

Fill in your signature so we all know what you have. We can help you better if we can see your vehicle description be sure to add anything that is already done to it.

As always a 4 inch exhaust and different intake set up to help it breath easier is the firts step. second the Edge EZ or a Van Aaken box will be best for entry level performance for a bit more you can go with a Smarty. On a second gen a fuel transfer enhancement is highly recommended like a Fass or Glacier or others do some research.

Happy reading :D .

PS: be sure to post in the right forum. Hint -this should probably be in the engine trans forum. No big deal
