I just got back from my first tow with this SUPER TURBO. I hauled a four horse trailer with only three horses in it up to Fort Bridger, Wyom. This turbo rocks , this is one great hauling turbo. I would have to kick the cruise off on a hill just inside the Utah boarder and drop to 65 to keep the EGTs under 1250. Today I set the cruise at 75 and it never got above 1100 deg. Now this was with my Psychotty system taken off and just running an open filter. (trying to get up the temp faster). I made this same trip over Thanks giving week end with only two horses, and this trip I got . 8 MPG better this trip. :D :D

There is no lag in fact it pulls so hard in the lower RPMs(Boost starts at 1400) that the trans make some bad noises being hit with all this low end torque.

There is a down side... . 1) Because of this winter wonder land that I live in this year this Super Turbo runs alot cooler and it takes longer to get up to temp(EGT) and the white smoke to stop. taking the Psychotty air housing off helped this some.

2) And it is time for an exhaust brake. Coming back down the same hill(empty trailer) it will just run away now. I noticed a lose in engine braking when I went to the 16CM2 housing on the stock turbo, but there is a bigger lose with this Super Turbo.

3) As I am getting on the on ramp coming home I wasn't really pay to much attention to the Speedo just getting up to speed only 1/2-3/4 throttle. And what to my surprise, there is a Wyom state trooper and his lights are on, I look down and I'm doing 87 MPH. Well we chat and I open the hood, he has an older CTD, and I get off with a warning(some days it pays to have graying hair).

4) Last but not least my rear tire life is really sucking now. I guess I should have excepted this being as the tire smoke king built this turbo:cool:

sounds loke another winner for PDR

can't wait for the next reviews for the [censored] turbo

Can you say NASTY ?

GO GET EM PIER'S :D

Sounds Great ! I'm going to have to sell my PDR 35 or see if Piers will cut me a deal on a new one.

So hows the clutch holding out. I can't get mine to hold in fourth or fifth under heavy throtle, with or with out propane.

Gene, I've got the MU 0090 Con. OFE. I used to have the Con. O but I distroyed it doing some truck pulls. Peter was good to me and sent me this new clutch.

When I load the engine up at low rpm, say about 1400 and just have the pedle to the floor, when I reach 2000 rpm it breaks loose. I get out of it let it grap then go for it again.

Now that I finished putting the engine back to gether, I was going to play with the low boost fueling to see if this would help me some.

Any ideas ?

Brian, Back when I had my Con B, I got it to slipjust as you a discribing and what i found was that the slave cylinder had worn and wasn't releasing all the way, in effect it would be like keeping your foot on the clutch peddle.

Drawson:

I have the SB fe in mine and I have a slight slip at the start of 1st,2nd and 3rd. Just at startup. Could this be the slave cylinder? In 4th and 5th all the power is to the ground.
