Towing W/ Smarty Jr.

Anybody tow with a smarty Kr. yet? If so what are your impressions?

I just towed 1/2 ton gmc ex. cab truck on my car hauler . Much more power almost did not know it was there (smarty jr. set on tow). I love it,good luck. :-laf

Smarty Rr. Towing

Towed with it on the Tow mode and with the Van C-3. 1 on level 3 Can you spell " Sweet "?, I couldn't take the grin off to spell. I was towing my 12,000 lb. 5er. No grades thought just on the flats, Did not check the mpg but the over head which is way closer now, the right speed shows on the speedo was 14. 5. We took the truck to the Cabelas near Reno from Lodi Ca. , and back which is up the hill and back without the trailer worried about it snowing while towing and had the level 3 in both. Half way up the hill I was finnally able to wipe the grin off and talk to the wife. It is almost like driving a sports car. The over head for the trip up and back was 24. 5 with more than a couple of hard runs. EGT's were never a problem never saw more than 1100.

Came home and two days later down loaded the stock program and let the 24 year old next door kid load level 3 into a 06, 6 speed, All he could say was wow, wow. I am sure Bob will be getting a call as soon as he can afford it. Not using my truck for the next few weeks so he still has it. Have not driven the truck enough to reallly get a good handle on the MPG improvement. The 04 had great MPG to begin with. 20- 24 at 60mph most all the time. The truck is so much more fun to drive the mpg is not a issuse.

I towed a 1500lb car trailer with a 4000lb Mercedes on it. Pulled sweet!

tows 10X's better than the EZ I had plus the power is smooth and its just a great product all around!

Where did all of you who responded to this thread get your Smarty Jr? I'm pretty interested in one, in light of CFollett saying his worked well with his Van Aaken C3. 1, which I also have.
