Can I tow not too heavy (Under 10k) with a set of Bullydog 3's and a stock turbo with the comp off, or will it be to hot? When the comp is turned off, does it just do boost fooling or does it add timing also? Is level 1-1 a defuel mode?Getting a set of BD3's instead of BD2's because they were out of 2's will they be to hot for my setup, would like to get a turbo upgrade in the future but it's not in the budget now. When running with the box on low will this be too much fuel?

Thanks a bunch, Jared

The comp off works as a boost fooler only. You should be fine with 3's towing in the flat lands. Do you have gauges? Keep your Egt under control with your foot and you should be fine.

I don't understand. You said you are getting BDIIIs instead of BDIIs cause they were sold out but your sig says you already have BDIIs. Were you just going to replace them with newer ones?

agree. . in the flats you'll be ok. . but watch out in the mountains if you towing heavy. . you'll need air !

I tow with DDIII's and a drag comp... [but I have a HX40]... non issue with comp off in the flats. . most hills are ok also. . but heavy and in tall hills/mountains ya need air !

Will work fine

I towed an 8500# camping trailer with my '01 with BD3's, comp on 2/3 with the factory HY-9. even on some 'hills' in Indiana, the temps were under control.

I ran it hard, around 70-80 mph, still got 14 mpg on that tank of fuel.

If you plan on towing through real hills, then you may have to drop back to fifth gear, but you will be fine.

Got the BD3's and am going to try them next weekend, but now I have a map sensor out I think, keeps throwing a 0236 code even with the comp removed and with it on man it really smokes;) too much to upgrade to 3's before I get it fixed. Code says" Map sensor voltage to high too long" Gonna Take it to the dealership and let them check it before I spend some unessecary cash. Then I'll pop them in:D

JaMan, I am still confused!

Nplosa, I got the 2's installed them and had a problem so I pulled them out and they got sent back now I got the 3's to put in when the map senser is fixed.

Gotcha! Thanks!

The BD3's went in tonight, so we will see if they are to hot. Still no map sensor, comes in tomorrow so no comp hooked up :(
