Towing with TST box

Left on Fri for a short getaway. Towed 14,000 5v'er. Made this trip many times to a campground where we own a site. Got 13. 4 mpg instead of 11. 7 on level 3/3. Truck accelerated very well. Never got egt's over 1050 pre turbo. The LUK pro gold clutch/pressure plate held very well but took some getting used to as it will "chatter" starting in 2nd or in reverse when you tow. Learning how to start in 1st gear with this new clutch. Also I have passed the 3000 mile mark on the TST box and I am now getting 1. 8 MPG more in non towing average. Some wierd stuff-if you lug motor to almost stall check engine light comes on but goes away after 3-4 restarts. Engine has a different sound between 1500-2000 rpm like it knocks almost. Don't really notice any more exhaust smoke till you use level 4.

towed my enclosed snowmobile trailer (only about 6000#) this weekend with box on 4/4 trans never shifted out of o/d on grades 7 to 8%. its nice to have power to pass up hills again. highest egt I saw was 1220 that's less than stock! this box power comes on smooth like the stock truck but it does make more noise when you use the power.

Based on what I have read I believe my AFE filter system drops my egt's about 150 below stock.
