I am looking for a toy hauler (5th wheel) that will accomodate my 2005 Jeep Unlimited. The Jeep weighs in at about 3500 full of fuel and stuff. I would like two or three slideouts. I have looked but their are so many options and I wondering what you are all running. I realize that water and stuff like that adds weight to the trailer, but I am looking for something to haul my rig around in and also be able to camp with when we go on longer trips. Add links to the response if you can. Thanks. Scotty

How about a full throttle by Weekend Warrior? You'll need a lot bigger truck than the Mega to pull it though. We have a weekend Warrior 2007 but it's not that big. It is a TT type toy hauler. Hauls 2 quads and has 3 queen beds. We used it last year and had a ball. The quality and features of the Weekends are excellant.

The problem you're gonna have is that adding slides adds weight and reduces hauling capacity. I have a Next level 38cks and plan on doing essentially what you describe with it. It's a Holiday Rambler product. It has 2 slides, one in the bedroom which I would describe as "normal" and then the one in the main body of the coach which is more "shallow" (only about 18" or so). With this configuration I think you could put the vehicle deep enough into the hauler to be almost over the axles. With no water on board (it carries 130 gallons of fresh water) it has the weight ratings to handle your Jeep. (16950 gross trailer weight - 12950 empty weight) Here's the link: http://www.holidayrambler.com/models/FPpopup.aspx?content=media&id=4&brand=&model=nextlevelfw&year=

The couch and dinette all fold up to the wall so you have unobstructed load space all the way to the entrance door on the side of the coach if you need it. It also appears to be fairly solidly built for an RV.

I would think your jeep is longer than 10' correct?

It wont fit in a toy hauler with a garage. most I have looked at are 12' at best. I have not seen any toy haulers with out the garage that have rear slides. (don't think its possible) I have 34ck dune chaser with open floor plan (no garage). it would hold your jeep but i would hate to put that load on the ramp it may get ugly. they say it will support 2000lbs ??? doesnt seem that strong.

maybe you could order it with a heaver ramp door? and 7k axles instead of the 5. 5k's?

The full throttle I posted a link to has a 12' garage. There is one at the dealer about 100 miles from here I saw. It would fit a jeep no problem.

A Toy Box with three slides and a Jeep?

I can't think of a set up that a 2500 would realistically haul, without being ridiculously over loaded.

Check out the Ragen FB2100 TT, it may only be 21 feet long and not have three slides but it weighs 4300 LBS, and has a 12. 8K GVWR which means you can haul 7700 LBS safely, not to mention 16" wheels and 6K LBS axels, and 820 LBS for hitch and the Jeep should fit no problem due to it's wide body.

That being said with only a 2500 your options are very limited.

I am not sweating the truck, I will make sure I have enough truck. I am even willing to go to a one slide (master bedroom) if I can find one that will accomodate the Jeep. The hardest part is finding something with enough room to fit the Rig in the back. WW seems to have the nicest trailers, so far. Scotty

The Holiday Rambler 38CK seems pretty nice in the pictures too. . Hard choices. Plus the 38CK would probably be handled with my current truck. Scotty

you might check out some gooseneck style trailers. Haulmark has some nice units with large cargo space and living quarters in the front. I think you can get them set up about any way you want. I looked at some before buying mine, the garage area ranged from 10' to 24'.

This is the only way to go. I looked at several of this type when I was still racing offroad. They have alot more options for tools aaircompresors and such. They do get a bit pricy but look on ebay and you can find some nice used ones the bigger offroad guys seem to trade in everycopule years.

Your right I talked with them, real nice first class operation.

The sky is the limit with Haulmark, plus the gooseneck is a real temptation, not to mention the rugged beefy construction of the chassis, axel's etc.

But the price on a trailer from Haulmark built to haul a Jeep with living quarters, generator, holding tanks and so on will be in the 50K area or more.

I've been looking for something similar. Found problems with the loading ramp. The floor tiedowns are not rated for a CJ/YJ/TJ. Cargo area is usually too small and trailer is not rated for the weight of vehicle. Definitely nothing with slides.

warriormfg.com is the official warrior site. Warrior specializes in trailers with high carrying capacity and their slides are designed such that sand rails will fit inside and the slides will close behing the front axle. I'm not sure how that will work with a jeep though. If you go to their website and click on contact us call their number and ask to talk with their service department the people there are great and are very knowledgeable about their product. BTW the Full Throttle has a 12' garage not long enough for a jeep but it is nicely equipped for other uses.

That's why I decided on an 8ft slide in Lance and just use my car hauler for the Jeep. I use the trailer as a patio while camping :D ... just a thought. .

I've been thinking about buying a 2car hauler. Load the Jeep and a tent trailer on the car hauler. My problem with slidein campers are weight and size. Most slideins are too heavy for my 3/4ton. They also have very little floor room. Saw a double axle Fleetwood tent trailer the other day at an RV show. Impressive amenities. The real solution is a diesel pusher. Can't justify the monthly payments when I'm only going to use it 10times a year.

I think it was a Lance slidein that had sleeping for 7. Also had a slide and rear drop down tent thing and fold out bunk bed. Probably too much camper for a duallie.
