No refrigerator cooling on AC

I have a 32 ft pace gooseneck with living quaters but no plumbing which is what I was after. It has been a good trailer. My only complaint is you don't have the ground clearance of a tradional RV. Converted it to a fifth wheel from the gooseneck ball. It is nice not having to jack it up so high. The best part is I can register it as an RV in my state because of the LQ. It's only $15 vs $246 a year(14K weight rating). Definetely worth it, just very hard to find good used ones. I looked high and low and ended up driving over a hundred miles to look at it and bought it on the spot. Also get strange looks when I pull into a camp ground. Most reactions are positive when they find out about the LQ.

I also have a 2007 C-Force Nitro by Carriage. . It is a heavy trailer but it is very well built, cools wonderfully with double air and big Onan it is an all seasons trailer.

I liked my KZ New Vision, it was decent and held up to full time use. After years of working on the road and taking my motorcycles with me I learned bigger is not better. My last 5th wheel was a monster 43' goose neck beast with 3 7500 pound axles. I found the size is a real pain, had to be very carefull where you went. IMO a 30 or 32' long tag trailer without the garage is best. A good 12K equalizer brand hitch system with a class 5 hitch works very well.

I prefer to put a camper shell on the truck for dry storage. I put fuel cans and lawn furniture, coolers, extra water in back. I liked my 12' long garage sometimes in the 5th when I was working on a bike. But, when I stopped the bikes usually stayed outside under a cover and the garage went unused.

Having a 30' TH with a tile floor made more sense for me. I had a unit with double pane windows and an inclosed bottom. Camped in it all year and never had any cold weather issues. I liked the Desert Fox line, they are built with dry camping in mind and are tough.

When I had my 5th wheel, I custom orderd a GN frame since I hate using up bed space with a 5th wheel hitch. It worked great, but I still liked a tag unit better so I could haul stuff in the bed. With the equalizer hitch, air bags were not even needed. Having a 13' tall 5th wheel limited where I could go, I did have to trim a few limbs going into sites in the SE. I would also recommend staying under 10K loaded. Both of our trucks are 3500's Dually's and I would never want to haul a 15K trailer ever again. Its a real pain, I was 11K on one 32' trailer and it was a good set up, had two 5th wheels and one was 15K the other was 17K. If your not living in it, go as small as possible. When playing I spend most of thed time outside anyway. A good quality screended in room for a big awning is very nice.

Choosing a unit with a good shower is nice, but it takes up lots of room. Outside showers work well too in warm weather. So, after a few tries at RV's I've learned a used clean unit thats easily towed is more fun than some big monster. My next one will probably be a 28' tag set up for cold weather use. .
