I am looking for a set of these tires but not having much luck, everybody wants to sell me a 285/70. I found one place that had them but they wanted $1100 plus tax for 4 tires mounted and I am not quite ready to pay that(not yet anyway). They are the only company I can find that makes this size (at least in a 10 ply) and this is what I want since they are 33. 8 inches tall and will work on my stock aluminum wheels. Thanks for any help locating a set of these tires or any other company that makes this size.

I have tried to look for the same set of tires. I called a toyo distributer and they said that basically toyo has to make them. Could be 1 month, or could be 1 year. I'm suprized you found a place that has them. The reason they are so expensive is because they are getting for rarer.

My buddy scored some@Express Tire the first time he visited them. He had to supply the stock# as they didn't have the tire in their computer. Lucked out!

I got a set over the summer, took like 2 weeks for my local dealer to get them. It was about 215 each with mount and balance. So far I like them, but they don't like a heavy foot... . due to price I have only "turned" them 4 times and it took about 1/4 of the tread. Those are expensive burn outs, and if there getting hard to find, I better order 2 just to have on hand.

Might check NITTO Grappler AT's at Dicsount Tire on Line - - they have load range 'E' in 285X17's Some where aroung $188. 00 ea.

Free freight too.

Try tiredeals4less.com they have the 285 75 a/t listed for 192ea. I went with the 295 m/t because a friend had the 285 70 17 a/t on his 05 dodge and they were pretty well gone at 22,000 miles. I have about 9,000 on my m/ts and they still look new.

hope this helps

I purchased a set yesterday from a local tire store that ordered them from a warehouse in TN named Heisler-sp and they had 16 on hand. I paid $213/tire

Well I purchased a set of the 285/75r17 From tread depot. $196 per tire and free shipping.

Pretty much the best deal I can find. Thanks Mconyers!

Put mine on about 2 months ago - I like them alot. The only bad part is they look very weak, not quite as good looking as the nittos I had. .

BUT they handle FREAKING awesome...

I wish they made a 265/75R17. I'm looking for a little better mileage/lower rpms on the highway without overgearing for towing.

Just got my 35-12. 50R17 Open Country MT's Nice, free shipping to my home. Treadepot.com I have a set of 9" rims to put them on and they are going on my stock truck. I had TOYO 285's on my 03 dodge and they were 34" tall tire and had no trouble with them. Now I have a 3500 and it sit's a little higher them my old 03 2500. Love the look of the MT's

I bought from tread depot also. The tires are holding up pretty well so far. If i can get 40-45K out of them I will be happy. They do really well in the wet and snow, they handle weight really well, so the only thing I have to weight on is how well the hold up over miles. Scotty
