I started at 60 psi... way to hard of a ride.

Toyo Open Country M/T 35/12. 5/17

From experience, what is a good unloaded on-highway pressure that gives even tread wear and a decent ride?

Thanks

Mike

I have the Toyo tires, but they are only the 33" tires. I had been running 35-40psi and they were okay. My front end is kind of bad, so the tires were cupping a bit, but I've been rotating them regularly. With the 10ply sidewall, you can tend to run lower air pressures and still be fine. They are a hard tire, so they will ride rougher than some others. They are definitely better than your old BFG's.

i can't remember exactly what's printed on the sidewalls, but I think they can run down quite a bit on air. I think that my local shop where I bought them from had 35 psi in each tire. I went and bought a 10k pound 5th wheel and forgot to air the tires before hitching up. The tires were a little spongy, but even with gross vehicle weight of truck and trailer at 18k, it was still fine. I now run 65 psi, and the tires don't flex at all. If you're running it unloaded, I would recommend 35-40psi.
