I have called and went to different tire dealers in my area trying to find a set of Toyo tires for my truck with no luck. So I started searching the Internet with not much better luck. Can anyone tell me a good place to get them? I good website or anything?

Thanks

Jason

I believe Les Scwab (sp?) is the nations largest Toyo dealer. I live in Alaska but I know my local tire shop gets there toyo's through Les

1010tires.com is an online source, but you will pay shipping.

KORE only stocks the Open Country M/T in the sizes used with the KORE wheels, IIRC. Other sizes or models of Toyos will likely not be found at KORE.

My Local Discount Tire can get them, and for cheaper than the online places:)

Where do you live????

www.toyo.com

Choose Find a dealer... enter zip and how far you are willing to drive.

If you live in the Pacific NW the only source are www.lesschwab.com stores. They have exclusive market rights for Toyo. 'Ol Les couldn't get the big tire mfgs to work with him when he was just starting out many years ago. Toyo stepped up and I'm told his stores sell more Toyo tires than all of the other Toyo distributors, combined. The big boys have now been begging him for years, but he told them to stuff it since they wouldn't help when he needed it. (On further reflection, I'm sure you don't live anywhere in Les's neighborhood as you'd have to have been in a locked closet to have missed all of their marketing efforts)

anytime I'm looking for a pricey item, I ALWAYS google or Yahoo the item and CLEARANCE or SALE or DISCOUNT or something. Also check Ebay, you never know when something might come up.

Finally! The new(to me) 37x13. 50-17 Toyo MT's on gun metal gray powdercoated factory wheels. Picking them up tonight. It's a camera phone picture, I'll get some better pics once I get them on the truck.

I had to purchase my M55s from 1010tire.com. I was shopping in east TN at the time and no Toyo dealer carried the M55. The web price plus shipping was still less than the Toyo dealers wanted for the 'special' order. I'm not certain that the M55 is what you're looking for; they're the toughest to come by in the East as far as I could tell. You should be able to find Open Countrys easy enough.

Looks good Fred, how'd they balance out? How about some pics of the whole truck with the new (color) wheels, and the front suspension while you're at it. Are the stock 3rd gen wheels 17x8 with 6" backspace? I'm moving up to 10" wheels (17 or 18, not sure yet) so my 12. 50 or 13. 50 tires will not have the sidewall flex mine have now on the 8" wheels when I'm towing heavy. Bummer, but that's what fender flares or pre-runner fenders are for!!

Wheel/Tire took less than 5 ounces each. Ride is very smooth and quiet.

Fred where did you get that hood? Thats nice right there! I got my Terra Grappler's from Discount Tire online, they even shipped them for free. Then I went to one of there stores and had them mounted for 15. 00 apiece. Including throwing away my old 305 slicks. I wasn't complaining.

BTW Fred, thanks for the extra pics. that truck is sweet! who makes the fiberglass scooped hood for the 2nd gen trucks?
