Nissan has screwed the pooch in the price department as well as trying to compete in the big boy market with the wrong truck. They’d have been much better off to release the Frontier with the 2.8 Cummins global engine.
Mazda has diesel trucks all over the world. While working in Tinidad and Tobago, I had access to Toyota, Nissan and Mazda diesel trucks. They were all pretty darn good.
I also think that if Toyota tries to compete with The big threes diesels, they’ll get whooped good. I was surprised to see quite a few Nissan Cummins while on a trip down south recently. I talked to several of the owners and all seemed quite happy with their purchases with minimal complaints.
