Who Do I Sue?

Hi guys... My wife's Tundra has a cargo light in the bed along with the brake light at the top of the cab. The cargo lamp is wired into a timer somewhere and stays on after you shut the door. After about 30 seconds or so the cargo light goes out. Problem is, if the doors don't get shut very tight, the light never goes out. I have caught it several times a few hours later still on.

I would like to bypass the timer system, and still use the dash switch to make it either on, or off, to be selected by the user. Is this possible, or should I try to run all new wires and switch? I would like to use the existing wire so I don't have to tear up anything. The next problem is I know very little about electricity. Sounds strange, I can operate a 1. 5 million dollar CT machine, but am hesitant to wire up a truck.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Momma is getting very unhappy with the light, and as we all know, when Momma aint happy, aint nobody happy!

Thanks..... Steve
