Ok, for those of you that may be having some trouble with your TPS adjustments after turning up your pump and high idle screw.
I have been fighting a problem with my O/D for some time now and nobody could help. Well, I have discovered what is/ was the problem.
Under the TPS unit you can see a cut-a-way for the tang on the adapter that connects the TPS to the pump. This cut-a-way limits the total travel of the TPS.
What I did was make this cut-a-way longer on the closed end. Now when I am at WFO the TPS does not travel too far and keep it from going into O/D. I know some of you may say that this mod is not needed but, some of us do need it. It all depends how sensitive your TPS is.
And one more thing I have discovered. If the throttle linkage doesn't come up to a solid stop, it will vibrate and send erratic signals to the TPS. This will cause the O/D to be fine one time and hunt other times.
Just sharing what I have found. Sure took long enough.
