I RECENTLY REPLACED THE TPS ON MY 1991 RAM 250 (251,000MI). EVERY NOW AND THEN THE OLD ONE WOULD DROP OUT OF FOURTH AT CRUISING SPEEDS. ALSO AT WIDE OPEN THROTTLE IT WOULD SHIFT INTO FOURTH AND STAY IN FOURTH UNTIL THE TRUCK TOPPED OUT (100MPH). SO I PURCHASED A NEW ONE. IS IT NORMAL FOR MY NEW TPS TO MAKE THE TRANS NOT SHIFT INTO FOURTH AT WOT? I'LL LET OF THE THROTTLE JUST A LITTLE BIT AND IT SHIFTS, OTHERWISE ITS OK. IS THIS NORMAL? Any help on this matter would be great.

Also could anyone tell me what parts do i need to convert to a 94-97 Bosch in-line fuel pump?

If you haven't checked the voltage at the TPS yet, give it a check.

The center wire is orange with a blue stripe and the voltage should range between ohhhh... 0. 60vdc and 1. 25vdc.

The higher the voltage is with key on, and throttle closed the later the OD shift will happen... . to a point.

The manual calls for setting the "at rest" voltage to 1. 00vdc

I have found that it can vary depending on the transmission, TPS, personality and heaven knows what else.

Take a reading, make a note of it's current setting and go from there.

As for converting to the P-Pump, you would be further ahead to find a 2nd Gen engine and transplant the whole thing.

The cost to do the pump and all the anscillary parts/gaskets, fabricating, labour, is very high.
