TPS problem

I have what I and the dealer think is a faulty throttle position sensor and am wondering if you can just replace it or if you have to replace the whole Bell Crank Assembly. I have a five speed with intermittent problems causing me to lose power. Sometimes just slightly and other times I have had to idle around town for up to 20 minutes before it starts working again.

I was surprised that I could go 30mph in 5th gear while idling!

I just went through all that B. S. with my truck. I called Cummins and they confirmed that the part is only available from Dodge.
They said that it is a different part for every application of the ISB and dont carry it for any of them. And yes, you have to replace the whole assembly. That thing must have gold parts in it because it costs $275. 00!

I took my truck to one dealer and they said it wasn't covered under the 100k engine warranty. I called around and found a dealer that actually took the trouble to look it up in their computer while I was on the phone. They told me they would repair it and my cracked exhaust manifold (been that way for a long time) all under warranty.
