TQ Convertor Lock-UP

I cant find anywhere on how the 48RE works. When I have overdrive turned off the TQ convertor wont lock up until 48 mph, no matter if you have your foot into it or not. Then sometimes with overdrive engauged the TQ convertor will lock up right after it shifts into drive ,then unlock, shift into overdrive and then lock up again. The dealer changed the TCM today but is no different.

I thought with overdrive turned off the convertor locked up soon after shifting into drive. Whats up guys?

I'm no transmission expert, but I've heard around 50mph it locks... . just as you seem to be finding... .

As you describe, is how my 48RE works. TC lockup is at 48mph (earliest), regardless of OD on or off. I'd like to see TC lockup at a lower speed, when OD is off. Even better, I'd like to have control over it...
