Last year I installed the Lindstad kit on my track bar. It cured a kinda cruching feel I was getting on slow left hand turns. It felt like the truck was in four wheel drive.
Well, a few months later the same kinda lurching slow speed left turn crunch reappeared. Everyone said it was a bad U-joint. But try as I would, I couldn't detect any wear or slack in the universal. On inspection, someone turning the wheel while I watched everything underneath, nothing appeared out of place.
A few weeks ago a member (sorry, don't remember who, but thanks) posted the number for a replacement bushing for the right hand end of the track bar, Carquest # K7252 (made by Moog). For $12, I installed the bushing, solving the problem.
So, for anyone rebuilding their trackbar, spend the extra $12 and replace the bushing. You do need to have a press available to remove and install the new part.
Good luck, Ronnie
