Track bar compat with F. Mag hytec

Which aftermarket trackbar will work with the mag hytec cover? I have heard that some have clearance problems. Does DT work?

The DT will not fit unless you have 4 or more inches of lift.

So Blair, are you saying I could use it with the 4. 5" lift ? man that just seems a little close 1/2" clearence. Have you seen or does anybody have a picture of one installed on a rig with the skyjacker 4. 5" lift ? If it will clear I would like to add one when I do a locker up front.

Guys, I can painfully say from personal first hand experience, none of the aftermarket front diff covers will work with the DT track bar unless you have 4 1/2" of front end lift or more, as Blair pointed out.



I *think* the OEM track bar should work just fine with 2" of front end lift or more.



Scott, Mr. Sutton has the DT bar, 4 1/2" Skyjacker system and the MagView front pumpkin cover.



I think Phil "rubberneck" responded to a similar thread several months back and said he got a DT track bar to work with a 2 1/2" lift kit and one of the aftermarket front diff covers..... darned if I can imagine how though... ...

I am looking into this, and have the same original question. What ones work witht the mag-hytec front diff cover. It seems the DT one proably wont, but how about the others.

Any original equipment style should fit but the DT mounts totally different than stock.

I'm using a NAPA track bar on my '97, no clearance problem at all. Just returned from an elk hunt on gnarly trails so I fully used the suspension travel, no rubbing on the knuckle of the bar or on the cover or its bolts.

I have a moog replacement bar and D-25 coils inf front, clears the Mag hytec fine. Even when I had a Lukes on my track bar it never contacted the pumpkin. I guess the 2. 5 lift helps.
