Hi all, new question from a new guy. Has anyone had good results with using the Lukeslink kit on the tracking bar? Or am I better off with an adjustible bar, and where can I get one?

Thanks for any input.

Dan

Heard good things about Lukes Link - you may want to try a search.

DT trackbar seems to get good reviews also - another search term.

Have no personal experience with either one.

Dan,

I recently installed two Lukes Link Kits and continue to be impressed. The kit is simple yet well engineered. The preload is adjusted with internal spacers (metal washers) and I would recommend the higher tension. On my personal truck the sealing washer split (after a lot of use) due to a leveling kit that changed the track bar angle. I'm not concerned because an occasional shot of grease will eject foreign matter IF any would enter. An adjustible trackbar would be nice with a lifted truck but the price of the Link is hard to beat. My . 03!

Lukes link

I installed one on my 96 4x4 CTD. I will never buy another track bar AGAIN! The Lukes like works, and at $50. 00, it is a steal compaired to a new track bar. I hope this helps.

DT Track Bar

I purchased a DT track bar and was very impressed with the very impressive workmanship to the high quality material and fasteners. I have a 2 1/2" lift and centering the axle was a breeze, the bar is adjusts by loosening the locknuts on both end and turning the polished center. My truck drives great. I did not get a repair kit because I feel the bar flexes more than just at the end. These bars are not inexpensive but I solved the problem :) . Sam
