Traction bars

Just installed a set of Tuff Country traction bars today, wow, I've been reading threads for years now on the benefits, but it made a whole lot more of a difference then I expected. I've had my truck for 8 years now and all this time I thought that little bump I felt was the old broken baffles in the fuel tank, NOPE, axle wrap all along. No more, truck feels more solid, tighter, like it aint gonna fall apart anymore if I get on it at a start, not that I will. Installation wasn't exactly a walk in the park, had to lower the fuel tank to mount the driver side bracket, but I've seen worse. Deffinately going to put these on the next truck, and a whole lot sooner this time.

I used Tuff country also and they are truely the best bang for the buck out there. I put mine through everything and no problems with anything. Those who say bars with bushings give a bad ride or don't flex are full of BS. I would not put anything with Heims on anything I own as they do not hold up in any condition I have seen because the joint wears out and either locks up or slops out and rattles unless its on a trailer queen.

I got mine here, they seemed like the best priced place when I got mine. And they had the biggest selection.

I got mine through Topguncustomz. One rear mount bracket was missing but they had it shipped to me in 2 days (Fast to Hawaii), so I have no problems here.

TopGunz only has the ladder bars. Do the traction bars work pretty good?

And am I seeing this right? $120??? Thats more in line of what I would like to spend... The 500++ for true weld-on ladder bars is a bit much for my once a year sledpulling.

Maybe I;m getting excited all for nothing... I found a few threads that say 03+ 3500s will not work due to overload springs

I paid $300+, well in the range I wanted to. I'll try to get some pics up. Thank goodness it's an easy kit to install... . cuz no instructions.

Mine are ladder bars and tuff country changed the design of them shortly after I got mine from them. Several years and many many sled pulls and daily driving in tough conditions and they are as good as new other than the coating which nothing will hold up when it sees as much gravel as it does pavement.
