HUBB lifetime oil filter

I actually saw this sale as well. While I've never ran that specific oil I'm seriously thinking about picking up a couple of oil changes worth. If I end up going that route I'll probably pull an oil sample near the end of my OCI just to check it out. Warren Distribution is the jobber of that oil, they also make the Supertech at Walmart among many other oils.

Here is the TSC web page referencing Warren Distribution.

As a side note, I just did a transmission service on my 14 68RFE. I picked up 12 quarts of Supertech ATF+4 (blended by Warren Distribution) for $4.27 a quart. That's between $2-$3 PER QUART cheaper than most name brands. As most are aware, there is a very specific formula that must be followed to carry the ATF+4 certification. So name brands matter very little.

Thanks for the links, a good read, there is nothing on the jug for ID. I always buy whats on sale so I went ahead and bought 20 gallons. They only had 10 in the gallon jugs so I picked up (2) 5gal buckets, it is on sale for $8.00. I have looked at it in the past but at $11.99 I always passed. If I watch the sales I can usually get oil for about $10. My Grader takes 7 gallons and is due, so timing is good. I did read some reviews and one guy said his Blackstone report was as good as any oil he has used.

I've been running this oil for YEARS!! in my 04, it's a fine oil. i usually go around 7500-9500 miles on the oil. Blackstone tells me the oils is still good after the 9500 one and to run for another 2000 miles and check back... but i just change it. oils cheep. i have about 60 gallons on hand of the older CI oil and about 30 of the CJ. i stock piled up before the change.

Thats good to know, thanks for the reply. Like JR said, if it meets all the spec's, don't worry:) so I am not.

Kind off off Diesel Topic

Was working the tractor yesterday dragging dead trees out of the forest with the help of some New Indiana Friends. In checking the oil I thought that its going to need changing because its getting dark & so I really know what weights in it for the winter work ahead. One old timer was talking with me about the Massey Ferguson 135 being a really good utility tractor. I asked if he'd had experience with it? I guess working at the Massey dealership as a wrench for 50 years put that question to rest.

I asked him what he'd run for oil? He suggested straight 30W Traveller oil from TS, winter time 10W-30 Traveller

straight grade is always better to run if climate allows.

Back in the day when I was a kid, my Dad would only use straight weight oil, 30 wt summer and 20 wt winter. I broke the mold and used multi weight on my first vehicle, 1970 Ford F100 4x2, bought new in late '69.
He said there is no way that oil could change weight like they advertise:D I kinda think he was somewhat right, I kinda feel the same way, Lol.
