Dealer wants to give me 10K for a 2003, 205K miles, excellent condition, rear airbags, frong Onki grill, upgraded stereo and speakers with bluetooth and gps, EGT and transmission temp gauages, 5th wheel hitch, matching color cap, etc. Seems like this is really low

You're not going to get any extra money for your upgrades on a trade in, but even bone stock 10k seems way too low particularly if it's a 4x4. I got almost that much for my 97 and the paint was literally falling off of it. Sell it yourself, it's not that hard.

keep your 03.. no smog BS to deal with. i LOVE my early 04.. and i am liking my 08 more and more. but my 04 is an AWESOME running truck. keep the simples ones.

Our 03's are worth at least 16 to $20K from what I've been seeing and if it's in unusualy nice shape they bring much more. That dealer has to make money when he sells it so he isn't going to give you that much but he is trully lowballing you.
FWIW, my dealer sent me a letter telling me he would give me !6K sight unseen. When I din't respind he called me and when I told him about the truck he said I could do a lot better than that.

If I were you I'd sell it private sale. You will be able to get far more for it that way!

Having just purchased my third 2500 I can tell you that resale values on trucks are extremely robust right now. Most trucks under 100K miles, one owner and in excellent shape have an asking price at or above $30K, for model years '06 through '09. If your truck has under 100K miles and is in as good of shape as you claim, I suspect you could fetch a price in the $20K range for a private sale. Do your research and scour the auto sale websites to find out what you could expect to receive in you area.

I paid $16,100 for my 188K mile 03 a month ago, private party. It has gauges, AFE air intake, toolbox, aftermarket stereo with Bluetooth, rhino lined bed, and factory bug shield on hood.
