Traded 06 WRX STI for O6 Mega Cab 3500

Well I had to get rid of my Subaru, too much fun and not a good car if you have a CDL and a job that requires you to keep it. Well any way I just purchased a 2006 SRW Mega Cab 3500 6 speed 4wd. I really like the truck much better than my 05. It is inferno red and the paint is the worst I have ever seen; the entire truck is orange peel. The salesman delivered the truck to my house at 1:00 am so I did not get to see it before since they had to look all over for a 6spd One Ton. I think Chrysler is going to have to paint it. I have seen many inferno red trucks at the dealers with the same problem. I like the six speed but not the O. D. ratio, but it will better in the long run with taller tires. Chrysler finally learned how to make a door seal!!! I also have already had a check engine light come on--fuel pressure code and fixed today with 2700 miles on it. So far I have gotten 16. 5 MPG hand calculated and as much as 17. 8. Better than my 05 auto ever did. Well any how I am babbling on. I miss the STI but really love this truck.

Crazy, you must have taken a serious hit $$$, trading the '05 truck for the STI and then the STI for the '06 truck, hope the '06 works out for you but sounds like you are already off to a bad start.

I tend to drive my truck it's it's my old Audi TT. And just as fast as the non-STI wrx version for the most part.



Some times I do miss a short wheel base.

Crazy, you must have taken a serious hit $$$, trading the '05 truck for the STI and then the STI for the '06 truck, hope the '06 works out for you but sounds like you are already off to a bad start.

Not too bad I am pretty good with the dealers. I had Broadway dodge , Perkins Dodge and Pueble Dodge working against each other. Broadway dodge got pretty miffed at me because he already had the car sold and Pueblo won, I lost a about 3K. They gave me close to thirty for the trade and Employee pricing on the truck. I think I was right at ten K difference out the door. The mega cab MSRP was $47900. I guess I shouldn't complane too much since there was 13000 difference between MSRPs of each and I had to give ten difference and the STI was used. You always loose on a trade but I guess if I liked the o5 that much I would still have it and not traded it on hte STI to begin with. The Mega cab made up for everything I didn't like about the 05. I really like The mega cab. It ahs a couple of bugs and I am sure that will be worked out this weekend. The STI was a blast but it had to go. I drove it VERY hard. Even though you loose on a trade this is the first vehicle I have bought in several years that I didn't loose sleep over .
