Tire size and towing ability

big, big, big, boo boo!

Purchased new RV several weeks ago with TrailAir Ride coupler. I suspected the air bag had a small leak the day I picked up the RV. I have towed with it one time and had to pump it up before I left the campground. Like a dummy I waited till today to call TrailAir to see if they would ship me one next day air because of another trip starting Thursday. They refused to send me one next day air. Does it say anything about their service? The fault is really mine because I could have called earlier. Apply this to a situation like if I were already on a trip 500 miles from home with a bad air bag??? Think about it!

Wow, sorry that happened. I haven't had any problems with my pin box, but did have problems with the centerpoint not holding air. Got parts through my local dealer next day air. Turned out to be a cracked fitting. Haven't lost any air since August(?)

BTW, Trailair says you can run without air in the bags. Supposedly it won't damage anything, but it will result in a harsher ride. I had to pull my trailer in with no air on the centerpoint (I didn't have my air tank hooked up yet) and it didn't ride any worse than before I had it installed.

Just my 2 cents worth.

The leak is only enough to go down overnight. This is not a serious problem now. But if I were travelling it could be. The RV only being 3 weeks old I did not figure that TrailAir would have given me any trouble at all about shipping one out. I found out different. Just wanted to let everyone know what they may face. I could have paid the $41. 00 in overnight shipping but I did not. I'll get it next week.

The saying "Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part" comes to mind.

It sucks that TrailAir wouldn't overnight the part but frankly it's not like you're broken down on the side of the road and immobile.

You are totally right but I do have a 600 mile trip to make Thursday and they knew it.

But you are exactly right.

Boy, sorry for the lack of response from Trail Air. I did as much checking around as I could before buying my Center Point. I found no complaints of any kind. I have spoken many times to Tim Killday, the General Manager, and he has been great on all occasions. I am sure he would like to hear about the service you received. He can be reached at 800-998-4238.

Good luck.
