a buddy told me that they make a harness that plugs into a factory harness under the dash of my o3 that makes hookin up a trailer brake controller easrier, so i dont have to splice the lines or chase down wires. . is this so and where would i get one at??thanks guys
There was one came with your truck when it was new, if you have the factory trailer wire harness.
This pigtail they give you plugs into a blue connector on the LS of the rats nest of wires up under the dash.
But you do have to attach the 4 wires that come out of this harness to the trailer brake controller of our choice. (the Jordan controller only uses 3 of those 4 wires).
some brake controller companys like prodigy sell a harness for their controller that matches you truck if you go that way.
There was a pig tail included with the truck, but you can get one from the dealer or from an RV outlet and they just plug into a socket on the fire wall near the parking brake.
I got one for my Prodigy when I ordered it. It is a plug and play harness, no splicing. I'm not sure about the other controllers. It didn't cost that much, so the harness that came with my truck is still in my toolbox.
