Flatbed body prices

I picked up a trailer last week. The dealer had the wrong plug on it and re-wired it. Now the brake control, 12v charge wire, and marker lights don't work from the factory trailer plug. I have looked at the fuse box and the underhood power distribution and can't locate a fuse for the trailer wiring. If I hook up power from the marker lts on the truck to the trailer, everything works. (The brake and turn signals work fine from the plug).

Any ideas? Anyone know if there is a separate fuse for the trailer wiring?

Thanks,

Ed

You should have power from your plug for charging the battry on trailer . Look for a braker near the batt on the wall of compartment , also near the converter, I would make dealer put it wright on demand This is a safety matter no brake no stop . The charge should be a #8 red wire from the truck all seven pin wire connectors are wired the same , Any trailer dealer will help you out . Just ask. or go to www.irv2.com for help or www.goodsam.com Hope this helps Ron in Louisville KY LOL:eek:   :D

on my 98. 5 there is a separate "fuse" in the distribution box under the hood on the drivers side.

on my trailer there is a fuse box behind the battery tray on the bottom side only accessable by laying on terra firma and lookin' up.

I had them both go away once on a very tight turn when I sliced the embilical cord. Found the trailer one quickly, the truck one was found somewhat later.

Thanks

The trailer lights and brakes work when I wire it direct from the truck. I have to assume it's something on the truck. I looked at the distribution box under the hood and all I found was a relay marked trailer. I did not see any fuses marked trailer or similiar. I will look again... thanks.
