2003, 2500. Ok I have no L/T flasher off the rear bumper 7 pin & 4 pin. I am almost sure I have a good ground as I have R/T, Brakes, & lights at the 7 & 4. But is there one ground point . Is there any wiring diagram that I can down load. I have checked the harness at mid body working to the rear end. Looking for any info that you can provide. I will keep you posted as well. Thanks Gary, lost in california.

1 hr later, There appears to be a second wire yellow/ pink in the harness controlling the L/T signal at the 7 & 4 pin. Working back to mid body.

latest update, mid body yellow/pink no current, going to order a wiring diagram.
The plot thickens...........

Here's a partial diagram:

I would suggest testing, or just replacing, fuse #46. It is for Left Trailer light, #47 is for the right. After testing/replacing fuse #46 check for voltage on the Yellow/Pink wire at the trailer connector. Looks like it starts as a Dark Green/White wire out of the TIPM if you can find it there.

If you still don't have voltage with the left turn signal on I'd say the built in relay is bad requiring a new TIPM.

OK you on to something, I found the following. So my next question is Integrated Power Module is that the fuse box ? I checked the fuse 46 & 47 good to go. #ad

8w-54-3 (Except Add On Trailer Tow)

Yes, it's basically a "smart" fuse panel. Totally Integrated Power Module, TIPM. Not cheap and plenty of failures if you search "TIPM" here. Just another instance of "progress" and electronics taking the place of a basic part, in my opinion.

Yes, that is the fuse box. Your '03 does not have a TIPM as referred to above.

Sorry GCuzzy. Definitely not trying to come off as a "know it all", just trying to help.

Thanks for the correction Bill. I guess I ought to stick to my old 12V's, huh.

School me on the difference between an IPM and a TIPM, please. What year did the TIPM appear?

The Integrated Power Module (IPM) in the 3rd generation trucks is the fuse box; however, there are other electronic modules included and/or attached to it.

If I remember correctly, the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) began with the 2006 model year.

Yes the pdc has a fcm (front control module) that plugs into it.This system was used in the ram from 03-05.)The o6 my brought us the tpm

I had to add a relay across all trailer wires comming from the ECM one for each light that way it wont mess anything up no load on the factory wireing. you can have the factory reset them but if you have a problem with your trailer it will do it again.
