Exhaust Brake General ???????

hotshot load - driver needed

I always seem to be having trouble getting a good connection with my trailer plug. I have replaced the trailer end, and since the cover is broken off of the connector on the truck I am ordering a new one.

Is there anything to put on each end to keep the corrosion down? Dielectric grease maybe?

I use "connection maintenance compound", sort of like liquid copper. I use it on most all connections, including the batterey teminals. the only thing to be careful with is dont slather too much on, it will cause shorting, or weird lighting bugs. it does work when used correctly, though.

Another dielectric grease is Dow DC-4. It is a silicone based grease that usually comes in a squeeze tube; much like a tube of tooth paste.
