Trailer lights

I want to put two additional lights on my 5th wheel. They will be somewhere near the front, one on each side, and connected to the brake-turn signal. If I mount them flat to the side they have to be Amber colored.

If i make a bracket and mount them on the side facing to the rear can they be red?

I think they need to be amber if they're not on the back.

I suggest you read California Vehicle Code 24603: http://www.dmv. ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d12/vc24603.htm

Section 24603(g) should work.
