Hi everyone,

I need some help with my trailer lights. Recently, the right side lights of any of the trailers I pull, constantly stay on and blink slowly. I finally just had to pull the fuse to stop it. Is there a relay or switch issue here? This happens even when the truck is off and no key in the ignition, and when running. Not good. Any ideas or help is appreciated. Thanks. Daniel

Hi Daniel. . What fuse did you pull and is your wiring factory or aftermarket? Normally a bad ground can cause problems that do not even seem to relate to the problem at hand. Sounds like the a constant current (maybe from the battery or charge system) is flowing to the right turn signal terminal in your female trailer plug. I have had the plastic (new from a reputable company) crack and let current flow from terminal to terminal. It could also be faulty wiring (maybe a poor wrap or joint) that is letting the current flow from one wire to another. I think you should start by checking out the plug first. Sometime this is just a process of elimination. Good Luck ... ... Jerry

Yep, I would check that first as well.
