#1: The drawing in the 06 owners manual showing the 7 pin trailer connector:

Which way are we looking at wiring diagram? Looking from the rear of the truck looking in? OR looking at the rear of the plug! I need the ground and the 12vdc blades that will illuminate twin 55 watt lights that are located in rear stake beds. Really lights up behind the truck when plowing in a snow storm

It is easy to answer your own question with a multimeter or test lamp. Just sit down in behind the seven pin with your tester in hand and check each pin with various lights turned off or on. That way you'll make no mistakes.

You'll have to run a new wire from a 12v source to a fuse or breaker then through a relay and switch in order to get power for lights like you described. They will require too much current to tap the seven pin harness.

X2, Harvey is telling you the best and only way to safely work those lights. The '06 and up trucks don't deal well with circuit overloads.

Spending $25. 00 bucks or so for some wire, a relay kit and a switch for the cab is much cheaper in the long run... .compared to the $700. 00 module that you risk toasting trying to hook those lights into the trailer tow package.

Just my opinion... ... ;)

You are correct. Check the size of the 12-volt charge line. It's too small to be effective for anything larger than a couple of 1156 bulbs.

I checked this circuit, its a 30 or 40 amp fused circuit. It is to charge an RV's battery when RV is connected. Besides, it worked last year! I think a computer has something to do with it. It only reads 10vdc, even with the engine running.
