Thumping noise...

I'm about to purchase an open car trailer, and I can't store it at my house. Our neighborhood pool rents parking spots, but obviously the lot isn't secure. What are the best anit-theft devices for a trailer?

Depending on its construction, remove the gooseneck ball coupler/kingpin and take it with you. Few people have an extra laying around that can be used in your trailer.

None of those provide any security from someone stealing your wheels and tires though. I found a chain thru the wheels and around the frame slows them down. Still, anybody can buy a bolt cutter and cut the chain or lock.

So the RR is unprotected? Better give me your address so I can go by and check on it, about 4 in the morning! ;)

What I am REALLY looking for Bart, is a tailgate theft protection device, for when I go thru California.

If you have electric locks, like I do, there a great device I bought and installed with little effort. It is a electric tailgate lock that wires into your electric door locks. Hit the key fob to lock the doors and the tail gate locks too. I just looked through the Dodge file and couldn't find the receipt. I'll look more tomorrow if you're interested. Let me know.
